Puff Pastry with Cheese and Ham

Crispy, golden and filled with melted cheese and savory ham — this is one of the easiest snacks you can make with puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 150 g ham slices
  • 150 g grated cheese or sliced cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp mustard or cream cheese, optional
  • sesame seeds, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles or squares.
  3. Spread a little mustard or cream cheese if using.
  4. Add ham and cheese to each piece.
  5. Fold the pastry over and press the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden and crispy.

Serve warm while the cheese is still melty.
