- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt & 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
- 8โ10 broken lasagna noodles
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

1๏ธโฃ In a large pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
2๏ธโฃ Stir in garlic and tomato paste, cook for 1 minute. Add crushed & diced tomatoes, broth, and seasonings.
3๏ธโฃ Bring to a boil. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook uncovered for 10โ12 minutes, or until tender.
4๏ธโฃ Stir in a little ricotta or dollop into bowls when serving. Mix in mozzarella and Parmesan right before serving for extra cheesiness.
