🍑 Grandma’s Peach Cobbler – Sweet, Buttery & Straight From the Heart

May 9, 2025 by Brenda Leave a Comment

This Peach Cobbler is pure nostalgia — juicy peaches baked in a rich, buttery batter that crisps up into golden, caramelized perfection. It’s the kind of dessert you eat warm with a spoon and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Just like Grandma made it. 💛

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 40–45 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes
Servings: 8
Calories per Serving: ~360 kcal

🛒 Ingredients

🍑 1 can (29 oz) sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
🧈 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
🥣 1 cup all-purpose flour
🍬 1 cup granulated sugar
🥄 2 tsp baking powder
🧂 Pinch of salt
🥛 1 cup whole milk
🌰 Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in a 9×13″ baking dish and put it in the oven to melt while it preheats.

2️⃣ Mix the Batter:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Add cinnamon or nutmeg if using.

3️⃣ Assemble the Cobbler:
Once butter is melted, carefully remove the dish and pour the batter over the melted butter — do not stir. Then, spoon peaches with their syrup evenly over the batter — again, do not mix.

4️⃣ Bake It:
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is bubbling around the edges.

5️⃣ Cool & Serve:
Let cool slightly, then scoop into bowls and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
