This isn’t your average Sloppy Joe. We’re talking smokey, saucy ground beef, simmered in rich spices and smothered with melted provolone on a toasted bun. It’s messy, melty, meaty magic in every bite. Perfect for game day, easy dinners, or whenever you need that savory soul food hit. 😍


πŸ“ Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Β½ onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ΒΎ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Β½ tsp chili powder
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 toasted buns (brioche or sandwich rolls)

1️⃣ In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

2️⃣ Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant, about 4–5 minutes.

3️⃣ Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, and pepper. Simmer for 5–10 minutes until thick and flavorful. Taste and season with salt as needed.

4️⃣ Toast your buns lightly, then spoon generous portions of the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom half.

5️⃣ Top each with a slice of provolone cheese, then place under the broiler or in a hot oven for 1–2 minutes until melty.
